Lushly layered electropoptronic minimal synth darkwave worldmoods... originating in the 80s and grooving into the new millennium
We'd love to hear how you know the music of PJC. From a socio-anthropological perspective, it's fascinating to trace how music is passed around. We learned that our song "The Fall" released in 1985 on our 7" vinyl EP, Menage a Trois (of which we have a couple copies available), circumnavigated the globe on cassette tape, one friend copying it from another. We can only imagine how fuzzy a 10th generation cassette copy must've sounded. Now, in 2013, we easily download digital songs files, but 15 years ago when we were first contacted? What motivates the minimal synth music collector?
We recently heard from a fan in Peru who wanted to buy a copy of the vinyl EP.
Yes, we're a duo that started in one little corner of Ohio in 1983. Yet people in all corners of the globe know about us...our music has traveled distance and decades. We've heard that "The Fall" and "VoodDoo Dance" have even shown up on various compilations like Flexi-Pop. One fan told us he found a copy of our EP Menage a Trois in a used record shop in London in the early 90s.
We wonder, how did it get there?
