Gushing article from back in the day (1985)
Sorry this is a bit hard to read...We played to a full house at Club LMNOP in Lexington, KY in winter, 1985. Being in the days before backing trax were common, the reviewer was captivated by the lushness of all this music with only 2 people on stage! Cool graphic they made for us, too. This was published in the Kentucky Kernel, the newspaper of the University of Kentucky, back before the only activity people noticed was basketball.
This next clipping is from the defunct Cincinnati Rag "Everybody's News". The photo shows (R to L) Kelly looking gorgeous, Shari with big 80s hair, statuesque blonde alto Jane Haeckl (she sings on 'APRIL 85' on the TIME CAPSULE CD) and groovin' percussionist Steve Hayes, who plays on most of the trax on the TIME CAPSULE CD.
Keep in mind all those New Year's gig ads are from,like, 1986.
