Lushly layered electropoptronic minimal synth darkwave worldmoods... originating in the 80s and grooving into the new millennium

OK, this is a few years post PJC...but I don't have a single shot of myself playing violin from the PJC era...
From the back cover of our 1985 EP release. We use this image on the cover of our new release, TIME CAPSULE. We still look exactly like this.
The Roland Drumatix TR 303 really rocked
These images are from our 1985 7" EP, Menage a Trois, which featured the songs "The Fall" and "Step Back."We hear that copies of the EP show up on eBay every once in a while. We are offering FREE downloads of "Step Back" here on the NEWS page of our website. To hear "The Fall" check out
"The Fall" has been hailed as a minimal synth anthem! Wow! We wrote an anthem and didn't know about it for 15 years. Actually The Fall was our first song...I had spent the weekend experimenting on a brand new (to me) Dokorder 7140 4-track reel-to-reel tape machine. I recorded all the tracks for The Fall and called up my good friend Kelly: "Hey, come check out this new tune I wrote." I played it for him; he asked for a piece of paper & a pen, sat down and penned the story that forms the lyrics for The Fall. Thus, the first song we wrote together and the birth of PJC. The other tune on the EP is Step Back, which we recorded in a long and short version. You can download an MP3 of the short version here on the NEWS page of this site. The long version exists only on vinyl and features our dear friend Mark Chenault (recently departed) on percussion. Also Robert Beatty on sax, and the tune's lyrics were contributed to by former member, Beth Holzer, who also sings backups on STEP BACK.
Here's how we looked then...

I wish I still had this coat. It was the palest pink pearlized leather, my mom's from the 50's. We were (and still are) totally into mid-century design, whether it was clothes, furniture, cars...
The only time we both looked into the camera at the same time
that coat, that pearlized barely pink leather coat, the one that got away
perhaps YOU were the lucky person who found these sunglasses on that flight from Cincinnati to Washington D.C. where I left them in the back of the seat-pocket in front of me
just kidding before... we really look like THIS now... or anyway, this is how we looked in Feb of 2007 when these photos were snapped...
Kelly, in living color
don't worry, it's faux
